Dear Interested Party,

Italian legislation requires website operators, in certain cases, to inform users about cookies and other tracking methods that may be used to collect certain data each time users access a website. Since our website icarex.ventures also uses these tools, we intend to inform you of the procedures we follow to collect this information with this policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES, WEB BEACONS, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Like almost all websites, we use small data files, which are saved on your computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other mobile device (“Device”) to record certain data each time you access or interact with our web services (such as websites, mobile apps, applications, and tools).

The specific names and types of cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies used may change over time. To help you better understand the Owner’s rules and the use of such technologies, below are some terms with their definitions:

  1. Cookie – Small text files (usually consisting of letters and numbers) that are stored in the browser or Device’s memory when you visit a site or view a message. Cookies allow a site to recognize a particular device or browser. Cookies can be disabled or removed using the tools available in most browsers. Preferences regarding cookies must be set separately for each browser used, as each offers specific functionalities and options. There are different types of cookies:
  2. Technical Cookies: These cookies come from the visited website and can be permanent or temporary; they can be used to store information that will be reused on the next visit to the site. They can be useful for making browsing on websites fast and efficient (for example, they help facilitate some procedures when making online purchases, when authenticating to restricted access areas, and in recognizing the language used to read information on the web). Depending on the service they need to perform, they can be temporary (removed from the computer when the browser is closed) or permanent (remain stored on the computer even after the browser is closed).
  3. Profiling Cookies: These are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during online browsing.
  4. Third-Party Cookies: These are installed by a site different from the one you are visiting. These cookies are sent to the user’s browser by third-party companies for their own purposes, such as profiling, advertising delivery, or social interaction.
  5. Third-Party Cookies Independent of the Owner: These are installed on your browser by companies and third parties independent of the Owner who act for their own autonomous purposes and independently of the Owner. These cookies, including those from social networks, are used by these companies to analyze navigation, user activities, and preferences and/or to profile them independently of the needs of the services we are providing you. Among these cookies, you will also find those from companies that adhere to the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau), the self-regulatory organization that develops standards and represents operators in the online advertising sector.
  6. Web Beacon – Code fragments that allow a website to transfer or collect information through the request of a graphic image; they can be used for various purposes, such as analyzing website usage, monitoring and reporting on advertisements, and customizing advertisements and content.
  7. Similar Technologies – Technologies that store data in the browser or Device using locally shared objects or local storage, such as flash cookies, HTML 5 cookies, and other software methods for web applications. These technologies work in all browsers. In some cases, the use of local storage cannot be fully managed by browsers but requires management through specific tools.

Statistical analysis cookies help us understand how many users are navigating and which content is most appreciated, helping us improve our services.

COOKIE MANAGEMENT

In accordance with the directives of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 and subsequent amendments (“Privacy Code”), particularly Article 13.3 and 122.1, regarding the provision of simplified methods for informing and acquiring consent for the use of cookies as per the May 8, 2014 decision, you can modify your preferences and any consent previously given for the installation of cookies—specifically profiling and advertising cookies—at any time directly through the CMP (“Consent Management Platform”) accessible at the bottom left of the screen. The CMP adopted by the Data Controller and installed on the Site complies with the Guidelines on the use of Cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on June 10, 2021.

The Data Controller will appropriately track the User’s consent using a specific technical cookie, which the Privacy Authority considers a “non-intrusive” tool. Through the CMP, the User can deny consent and/or modify their cookie usage options on the Data Controller’s Site at any time.

If consent has already been given but you wish to change cookie permissions, you need to delete them through your browser as indicated below; otherwise, the cookies already installed will not be removed. Please note that it is not possible to control third-party cookies in any way. Therefore, if consent has previously been granted, it is necessary to delete the cookies through your browser (dedicated section) or request an opt-out directly from the third parties or through the site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/le-tue-scelte.
